Director

When I read a script I hear it. Realizing those rhythms, and finding a physical language to enlarge them, is a journey that always amazes me.

I have directed in theaters from New Hampshire to Arizona, and from coast to coast.  Locally, I have directed for Seattle Shakespeare, Taproot, the Bathhouse, Theatre 9/12, and Thalia’s Umbrella.

  • The Merry Wives of Windsor, Seattle Shakespeare Company

“Ordinarily, this is played as straight farce, a husband wishing from injured pride to catch his wife in impropriety while she outsmarts both suitor and spouse. But Moore gives us something more interesting and true: a love that is tested and tempered in full maturity.”

  • Memoirs of a Forgotten Man, Thalia’s Umbrella

“Masterfully directed by Terry Edward Moore.”
    —BroadwayWorld

“The depth of soul and emotional freedom of this quartet can only have communicated so cohesively through [Moore’s] collaboratively generous style.”
    —Drama in the Hood

  • Macbeth, Seattle Shakespeare

“This gripping production of Macbeth stands as one of the best directed, best realized Northwest productions of this Shakespearean tragedy in recent years.”
    —Valley Daily News

“Terry Edward Moore’s graphic, muscular production ….The articulate ensemble is terrific.”
    Seattle Times

  • The Standby Lear, Thalia’s Umbrella

“I could not tear my eyes away from the stage.”

    —Drama in the Hood

“One of the best nights of theater I’ve had in way longer than I can remember.”
